Really nice staff and service. Supermarket just around the corner. 5mins walk to city centre.

Staff at the hotel was great, room was OK too, but a bit dirty, with plasters in the bathroom that no one removed. Besides that, everything was nice.

Stayed for 6 nights for a conference at Uni Helsinki. Do not compare it with any hotel. It's like a student dormitory. You will have a clean room with a bed, a bathroom and a kitchen. But you will not have hairdryer, kettle, tooth brush shampoo conditioner etc. Good: friendly staff, good price, and you will have a small kitchen. (There is one small bath towel) Bad: very small bed. The curtain does not completely block light (it's hard for me during white night). no hairdryer, kettle, cup or bath stuff in the room. (You can borrow hairdryer from reception, but i tried 5 days, no success) I recommend this to people who need to stay in Helsinki for a while. But if you are coming just for few days for business, spent a bit more and stay at a proper hotel. People say the location is perfect. To be honest I dont agree. The distance between hostel and the central train station is about 15 min walking or 13 mins with public transport. It's ok for a good day and no luggage. But if it's snowy, thanks, no. It's very close to museums and downtown shopping centres, but Helsinki has very good public transport, you can get here conveniently by bus or tram (using Helsinki transport app to buy bus ticket). >> More tips for people who have decided to stay

What's good A self sustaining hostel room. Those who want to cook their own food will love it. No frills but all amenities make it a perfrct stay. What's not good No frills mean no room service. Hostel Cafeteria is also little far. What to do Buy from nearby Kmart and make yournown preparations. Borrow utensils from hostel reception and enjoy the stay.

A basic hostel. One has to master the art of opening the door. Give little bit more of ventilation in the room and bathroom. It was exceptionally hot yesterday.
