  We were taken on a pub tour and this was our favourite. Granted there was "climate crisis" amazing warm weather so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the terrace, but the beer also was just super great, and the indoor decor (except the new front room makeover was a bit of a travesty!)

  We dined at outside terrace, fast service but didnt serve soft drinks which was quite odd. Ordered burger, pulled beef hot dog and homemade french fries and onion rings. Good quality grill food for a good price, but if you are searching for good burgers there are better restaurants for that.

  Even though I am vegetarian, and the offerings are few for us, almost everything that I have eaten at this restaurant has been top notch! They usually offer some kind of vegetarian soup, a selection of meaty dishes as well as a salad bar with cold sides. Sometimes they have an actual vegetarian entrée as well, or vegetable sides of some kind. The staff is friendly, and they look very professional in their uniforms, not to mention the restaurant is very clean and has a very old-timey feel. Definitely would recommend!

  Excellent service! The local burger was tasty and special "meaty" thus a bit plan otherwise. Interiors seems to stay the same year over year, which is kind of ok in such an old building with great history.
