  Expensive, overrated. Spend your money in a bar instead. Better beer and no entry fee

  Buy one beer from shop and normal tram ticket so you save 14 euros.

  The tram actually leaves a bit further north in the main square - it's a big red one you can't miss it. Bit of a tourist gimmick - you pay €11 to get on a tram for 45 mins with no commentary/guide. Drinks are expensive (€7 for a beer or wine) and served in plastic cups. The tram is beautifully fitted out in brass and timber but the windows are small so not great for sight seeing - and if you're new to Helsinki you don't really know what you should be noticing. If you're really desperate to drink beer on a tram, go for it, but it's not such a rewarding experience otherwise.

  It's a nice alternative to the hop on hop of tours, but it's very expensive. Also the beer which is served in plastic cups. Better do a tram tour on your own and enjoy a beer at the Kallio district.
