::Must see in Helsinki. The most important pieces of finnish art can be found here. In addition to the permanent exhibition, Ateneum always has something new to show and teach. One should reserve enough time when visiting as the exhibitions can be quite vast in nature. The museum does have a good cafe in it, so taking a coffee break or eating lunch within the visit is possible. The atmosphere in the museum is relaxed/classical. Meaning, visiting is stress-free but one must act with some elegance. Like anywhere in Finland, live freely but with discretion.
