Go to Lisbon Cafe for great Portuguese pastries, sweets and a very kind service!

Old, ugly and almost always smells like some food has burned. Not many interesting stores.

Such an old shopping center in the middle of Tapiola off from the beaten path. This place is a wind from the past and it's visible in everything here. This place is decaying and needs renovating badly. Heikintori shopping center brings back memories from the times when things were a bit simpler and modest. I enjoyed visiting here when I was younger. There were interesting shops and quite good restaurants too. Now this place feels like a ghost town but people are still going here and things are happening here. It's not dead - it has remarkable history among all the shopping centers in Finland. This is the second oldest shopping center built in 1968. Atmosphere here is really something you won't experience anywhere else. The modern shopping center are heaven for gentrification generation but in this place you can find something special. It's shopping center for common people. Even though this establishment might not have anything you might need or look for I recommend to visit here since it's something you won't see so often - a piece of history that is still standing. I love it because it's a part of history from the times that should not be forgotten.

One of the first shopping centers in Finland, ever. Sadly these days Heikintori is in bad need of renovations. There are only a couple of stores and three fairly unimpressing restaurants inside. It might be worth seeing for the historical aspect if you're in the Tapiola area. As a local, I only visit Heikintori when I need to walk straight through it.
