::A traditional Finnish woodheated public sauna. One of the oldest in the country it was founded in 1928. It has remarkable history and its quite popular among tourists and locals too. This is the last public block saunas that is woodheated. You can't find another similar kind of sauna from Finland. To be more specific - there's actually three different saunas here. One woodheated for women, one woodheated sauna for men and then one private electric sauna for small groups. Public sauna prices start from 13 Euros for adults and e.g. students will pay 10 Euros here. You can rent a towel here for 3 Euros. This place is traditional in one word and genuine different in other words. There are some rules which people visiting here are expected to follow. You can and should ask from the receptionist if you want to know more. They're more than happy to explain things here. And you can ask from the locals or regular visitor how to do things here. Main rules are simple: You can enjoy your own beverages here but don't bring beverages inside actual sauna (you can enjoy them at the locker room or outside), always wash yourself before the sauna, don't cast water on the sauna stones before asking permission from the highest point of the sauna, be polite and ask if you don't know. Use locker cabinet for your belongings. Those cabinets are remarkably old so doors might be a bit stiff sometimes. In generally it's forbidden to photograph here because of nudity and sensible reasons. When it's quiter it's ok to take photos. Never take photos of individual people or nudity. Just think and ask permission if you want to take photo of individual person. Again be polite - people come here to relax not to pose for photos. This place is really popular among tourists and locals come here too. Especially end of the week. You can find all the age groups here from toddlers to elderly and all mix together well here. Sauna is big and it's possible to fit in even though it might seem crowded at first. My overall opinion of this place was really positive even though I find it a tad expensive for random visits. Milieu and atmosphere is outstanding here - you can't find similar place in Helsinki. Just remember that this is a public sauna so everyone can come here. This isn't a place for fancy pants. This is a experience that everyone should have in their lifetime. Strongly recommend for anyone who enjoy truly genuine experience of times when things were simpler and boats where made of boat making compounds.

::The one and only, oldest Sauna in Helsinki. Definately you should try it! I come here almost every weekend.

::An old classic sauna in the middle of Helsinki. Crowded on weekends but this is a true Finnish culture. You can rent everything you need from, so you need any baggage. Give it try!

::The best public sauna in Helsinki, at least in my opinion. The huge sauna is heated with a wood-burning stove and the heat is very smooth. There are many different levels to sit on so you can choose what feels right to you. Even the locker room has great atmosphere! On a side note, my comments apply to the men's side and I can't speak for the women's sauna that is one floor up.
