  Shady and repulsive place. Wouldn't go there again unless it was absolutely necessary.

  The makeover did not improve this cornerpub, and the service is cold and dry.

  Used to be an institution years ago when I lived next to it, nowadays trying hard to be something that it's clearly not. It's a very basic neighbourhood bar with very simple interior (which is not a bad thing at all!), which in the weekend charges a cloak room fee like a club. These changes came when the manager changed maybe 4 years ago, and the current concept never appealed to me. Drinks are basic. Negative rating mostly due to pretentiousness and a ridiculous cloak fee.
