  Näyttelyiltään ja näyttelyiden laajuudeltaan museo on erinomainen. Näyttelyt ovat kiinnostavia ja hyvin koottuja. Niissä on myös hyvä määrä erilaista sisältöä. Sisäilma on kuitenkin näyttelysaleissa huono, siitä lähtee yksi tähti. Palvelu on ystävällistä.

  The museum is located in historical place where old fortress has been located from old times. Museum is small, only two rooms. The exposition in the first room was really interesting and decorated artistically: mythology of South Carelia and northern Siberia. In the second room you can see some items illustrating history of Lappeenranta to our days. Ticket is 8 euro for students.

  Really interesting exhibitions! I didnt knew much about Karelian history or even the region/city of Lappeenranta. They had info in both Finnish and English for everything and their exhibitions were fascinating! If you are in town I really urge you to go here, if not for the museum so for the area of Linnoitus where there are other museums and a beautiful view over the whole city.
